Introducing Ginny's friend Natalie Tan.
'Told cha you shouldn't get involved too deep with a guy. Now look what has happened. What if he dies? And he's not even Chinese! I'm sure his parents will blame your car, you. He's an Indian. Older than you! How could you?' Natalie looked angry.
'I won't regret it even for a day. I love him Nat. I won't.' Ginny seemed headstrong. The smell of food filled the air with the usual noisy babel from the students in the cafeteria.
Ginny was the one that first fell for him. She remembered how she stalked his facebook everyday. She took hours just looking at his photos in facebook. She was first attracted to him due to his personality. She met him in a party during Halloween. He was an engineer and she was studying her second year medical degree in a local university. To become a pharmacist has always been her dream. At the start, it was really hard to accept the fact that he was 10 years older than her. But love makes anyone blind. They made it through until he proposed to her by singing her a song. It was the sweetest song she ever heard in her life. And now, it seemed painful to almost digest the fact he didn't know that song, that ring.
'You see, even that ugly guy with a mole which grew hair on the chin and who liked you since high school doesn't seem so bad right now. You should ask him to marry you instead. Oh why? You are only 21, don't get married.' Natalie went on, not caring if anyone was listening.
'We were not getting married so fast, just wanted to remain engaged due to his parents disapproval of me. Some racist problem because I'm......'
An animal stood in front of her. It had grayish-black fur. A long tail. Pointed teeth. Really sharp teeth with saliva dripping from it. Claws that scratched the marble floor giving out sharp shrill noises. It looked like the wolf that ran away from a good Red Riding Hood story just that it was a hell lot bigger than any wolf she'd ever imagined. It was the size of a mother whale. And it was looking at her. It didn't wait for her to admire its beauty.
Ginny didn't know what was going to happen. She knew the wolf was aiming at her. Her instincts kicked in to just run, run, run. She felt its eyes on her. Yet, she was afraid to make a move.
The wolf lunged at her with full force. Its paws dug into her flesh. Its weight crushed her. She felt something hit her head hard. She couldn't breathe. She felt her soul leave her body. Unexpectedly, she heard herself whispering. Abruptly, the wolf retreated, howling painfully like a child who lost a candy. Ginny tried to stand up. Her vision was blurred by thick warm liquid that flowed profusely from her head. She felt weak and collapsed when she thought she was able to run. Desperate, she crawled on the floor. The wolf was back again to its normal self and began to move towards Ginny at full speed. Ginny crawled to the guys toilet, and hide in the first cubicle she entered. She realized she was holding fur damp with her sweat in her hands. She had pulled it while trying to fight off the wolf. Like pulling a little fur would save her life, she thought. And then she did something she never did before.
She closed the toilet bowl with its cover, using blood that dripped from her wounds, she made a circle with triangles inside. The fur was spread all over the shape she made and words she never knew existed in the world flowed out of her mouth naturally. She heard the toilet door being pushed open, and blacked out.
