**I have no records of when was this written, but it was in the first 3 months of 2010...
**This "story" is written in sort of a script form (or dialogue)...
**This was written by Appa.
**I've altered D (dad) to Shi Yee and S (son) to Lee Ngoh.......without permission....Appa~ please don't hit me~
**Idea of the story came out when we were getting started with out oral test.
{How to express your love to the one you secretly admire}
Lee Ngoh: Dad, how did you and mum get to know each other?
Shi Yee: Which part are you referring to?
Lee Ngoh: Wow! How many parts do you have?
Shi Yee: Two. Before marriage and after marriage.
Lee Ngoh: Any difference between that?
Shi Yee: Big difference! Before marriage, she is a lovely, adorable girl who nodded to what I say. Her figure is just like the......you know, coca-cola bottle, S-shape.
Lee Ngoh: How about the after version?
Shi Yee: {Sighs} After I said "I do", she seemed to have gone through a personality twist. Such a sweet, obedient girl suddenly change to a money-minded person, and a control freak. Besides that, she became a coca-cola can, straight one.
Lee Ngoh: {Laughs} I send my condolences to you, dad.
Shi Yee: So, why do you want to know this?
Lee Ngoh: Hmm......Just want to know more about the "romantic" stuff.
Shi Yee: Seems like my son has admire someone secretly. I wonder who is that unlucky girl.
Lee Ngoh: Dad! This is my first love, can't you be more encouraging?
Shi Yee: Have you confessed your love yet?
Lee Ngoh: Not yet. I was just about to ask you.
Shi Yee: You can write her a letter.
Lee Ngoh: Dad, we are now in 2010. We have sms, e-mail, msn, facebook and lots of stuff. Why you must choose the most old-fashioned one?
Shi Yee: Old-fashioned but you can capture her heart...
Lee Ngoh: Really? Okay, if I want to write a letter to her, what do you think I should write?
Shi Yee: Sonnet 18 by William Shakespeare. "but thy eternal summer shall not fade".
Lee Ngoh: Sorry dad. She is a chemist. I can't write a poem for her!
Shi Yee: Maybe you can try this...{Clears throat} "you are just like the oxygen. I can't live without you".
Lee Ngoh: That's mushy dad.
Shi Yee: That's why you need the letter. If you can directly speak like that to her, that will save a lot.
Lee Ngoh: Okay...Do you have any other ideas?
Shi Yee: How about singing a love song?
Lee Ngoh: It's embarrassing! Have you done that before?
Shi Yee: Yup, I sang......Well, i can't remember now....but I did sang.
Lee Ngoh: You do know that I am a lousy singer.
Shi Yee: You can sing "you are not alone", one of the famous songs from MJ.
Lee Ngoh: Dad, your ideas are just too bold for me.
Shi Yee: You're just too picky. Don't blame me if you still can't get married by 30. {Light bulb appears} I know it, you can also send a bunch of roses with a card written "I love you".
Lee Ngoh: I don't want to, I think I need to do something different, something that actually touches her heart. She ain't easy you know......
Shi Yee: This is going to be tough. Well, you work hard, I need to go.
Lee Ngoh: You're running away!!
Shi Yee: D.Gray Man is starting!!!
Lee Ngoh: ......
{Lee Ngoh stares as his father rushes to the TV set}
