A Propose?

**This Is fiction, once again, I repeat, FICTION^^
**I have no records of when was this written, but it was in the first 3 months of 2010...
**This "story" is written in sort of a script form (or dialogue)...

Cheng Yi: Today is a big day!!
Lee Ngoh: What big day?
Shi Yee: Today your sister is gonna bring her boyfriend to dinner!
Lee Ngoh: Wow!

{Daughter comes in}

Wei Seen: What are you talking about?
Lee Ngoh: About my future brother-in-law.
Wei Seen: Don't kick up a fuss. It's just a dinner.
Shi Yee: Dinner with my future son-in-law, that's going to be a night...{Smiles}
Shi Yee, Cheng Yi & Lee Ngoh: Can you feel the love tonight...
Wei Seen: {Sigh} You all will scare him off...

{Ding Dong!!!}

Wei Seen: He is here!
Shi Yee: He is punctual, sharply at seven o'clock.
Cheng Yi: I wonder what he looks like

{Daughter comes in with her boyfriend}

Wei Seen: Appa, Omma, let me introduce my boyfriend. Kira, a Japanese.
Kira: Hello, uncle, aunty.
Wei Seen: This is my dad and mum, the person who is sitting at the dinner table is my ni-san.
Lee Ngoh: Hullo! {Mouth full with food} Nose to meat you!
Cheng Yi: Look at you! You haven't eaten for ten years?
Lee Ngoh: Mom, uuvercitys fud is losy.

Shi Yee: he said "university food is lousy".

{While sitting in the living room}

Cheng Yi: Kira, heard from Wei Seen that you worked as a codebreaker in FBI. Is the salary high? Do you have any property? Do you buy any insurance? Is your job a high-risked one?
Wei Seen: Mum....you ask too many questions!
Kira: Never mind, I will answer her. The job is well-paid. I have a bungalow, a Mercedes and I have accounts in five different banks. I buy insurances of course, there is......{Starts listing all types of insurances} My job is safer compare to the others.
Cheng Yi: {Impressed} Anything to ask? {Turns to Shi Yee}
Shi Yee: Hmm......Since you are a Japanese, do you like any Manga or Anime?
Cheng Yi & Wei Seen: Appa...
Kira: {Not expecting the qestion} Yes, of course. I named myself Kira because I like that character in "Death Note".
Shi Yee: You like "Kira"? But I prefer "L".
Kira: Actually I felt that Kira can be the God of Justice since he can eliminate the criminal that the law cannot.
Shi Yee: But, no matter how imperfect the las it is, we are not the God. We can't simply take away people's lives.
Lee Ngoh: Hey, if you all don't want to take the dinner, I will finish it all. Mum, your culinary skill is superb. As good as your calculating skills...
Cheng Yi: Son, I don't need you to remind how good I am. {Stares}

{After dinner, Appa and Omma are washing the dishes. Lee Ngoh is continuing his university work. Kira and Wei Seen are in the living room alone.}

Kira: Your family is interesting. Your brother is funny, your mum is frank and your dad is......you know...I mean no harm...but...
Wei Seen: My mum always said like that, childish.
Kira: But I like them very much. They are warm, kind and understanding. Hope I can join your family soon.
Shi Yee, Cheng Yi & Lee Ngoh: Is that a propose?!?
Wei Seen: Appa, Omma, ni-san. We are having a conversation!
Cheng Yi: I justoverheard.
Lee Ngoh: Me too.
Shi Yee: Me three!

{Others fainted}

Wei Seen: Attention!!! Please! It is not a proposal! Kira will be living with us for now. He currently has a job to do here and umm...
Kira: I also want to be by her side, usually I'm all around the country. Since I have the chance, I'll try to know her a lot more and of course the family too.
Cheng Yi: Well, there is no room, why don't you share......
Wei Seen: Omma!!
Cheng Yi: What? {Knowing her plan was found out}
Wei Seen: Nothing. {Smiled}
Cheng Yi: Hmm...I think he can sleep in the guestroom. I'll go clean it up a bit.
Kira: Thank you. Sorry for bothering.
Shi Yee: Movie time!! Hey son, watch with me.
Lee Ngoh: What movie?
Shi Yee: Of course D.Gray Man! We watch it every week!
Lee Ngoh: I have work to do. Why don't you watch it with Wei Seen?
Shi Yee:She's going out. Can't you see she's all dressed up?

{Lee Ngoh went upstairs before Shi Yee starts to urge him to watch the show.}

Shi Yee: Once again, my 43rd week for this year...
Kira: Pardon?
Shi Yee: My 43rd time alone watching D.Gray Man.
Kira: O...I'll watch it with you next week, that is if you want to.
Shi Yee: Okay. Okay. Okay. Then it's set. Next week at 8.30pm.
Kira: Set.
Wei Seen: Kira, are you ready?
Kira: Yup, you look beautiful in that dress.
Wei Seen: Thank you.
Shi Yee: Shh.....The show's starting...
