{Many people were crowding at the notice board, discussing about something.}

Lee Ngoh: What do you think is going on there?
Wei Seen: How would I know? Aren't you the one running the campus?
Lee Ngoh: I do documentation, not gossiping.
Wei Seen: Is that a hint to ask me to go see what is on the board?
Lee Ngoh: In fact, no. But since you said it, why don't you help me a bit. {Shove Wei Seen into the crowd}

{While in the crowd of people......}

Wei Seen: Umm......Excuse me...passing by......sorry!!.....excuse me....

{After squeezing to the front of the notice board, Wei Seen finally got to read:

{After reading, Wei Seen squeezes out from the crowd to report back to the headmaster}

Wei Seen: {Whispering} Headmaster, it's about Valentine's Day. Do you want to join in the group??
Lee Ngoh: {Blushes while thinking of something, but frowns later} No. I'm a "single", it's not like you don't know....are you trying to rub salt in the scar??
Wei Seen: Okay bro, I get it. {Few people turn to look at the two} Oops......headmaster.
Lee Ngoh: Eh, why don't we go makan? I haven't spend much time with my sister. Want?
Wei Seen: I don't want makan, I'm busy.
Lee Ngoh: On Valentine's Day? I made it a holiday since last year, how could you be busy? Wait, did you pile up your homework? Do you intend to do your piled up homework since who-knows-when?
Wei Seen: Hey, don't you look down on me! I finish my homework everyday!
Lee Ngoh: Are you sure? If I ever receive any complaints, I'll be telling mom......
Wei Seen: Okay, not all.......but I do finish them, eventually......
Lee Ngoh: ......Go makan with your only brother lah...
Wei Seen: I'm busy... Why don't you ask mum and dad?
Lee Ngoh: And get myself killed?? Even if I have lived with them for so long, I still can't figure out why they disappear on Valentine's Day.
Wei Seen: You don't know?
Lee Ngoh: And you would?
Wei Seen: Well, dad watches Anime, D.Gray Man. Before that, he was stuck to some other Anime, but I don't know which one. For mum, she will be doing some kind of investing.
Lee Ngoh: How do you know that?
Wei Seen: Don't know. I just know.
Lee Ngoh: {Feeling hopeless} Anyway, what are you doing on Valentine's Day?
Wei Seen: Not going to be having a meal with my brother, that's for sure.
Lee Ngoh: You mean......you're going out?
Wei Seen: No. {Frustrated by the headmaster}.....you are so......Aigoo......I'm gonna be in my room using the computer.
Lee Ngoh: With your videos?!?!? You would rather spend time with you videos than me?
Wei Seen: Anyway, I think you need to be busy on that day too. Why don't you go check on your schedule??

{Wei Seen shoves Lee Ngoh to the office and closes the door}

Wei Seen: {Sighs of relieve} Finally. {Sees watch} O dear, I'm going to be late for my class!! {Runs to find the classroom but trips on the way}

{Meanwhile, in the office.}

Lee Ngoh: Umm....secretary, do I have any schedules on Valentine's Day??
Secretary: {Flips through the books and files} I don't think so. Is there anything?
Lee Ngoh: Nothing. {Scratches head while mumbling} She's been acting strangely......What is she up to? She always go makan with me. What is she doing with that computer?
Secretary: Online dating?
Lee Ngoh: {Turns head to secretary} Online dating??
Secretary: It's getting very common these days, right? O dear, sorry for bothering you, sir.
Lee Ngoh: Don't worry about it. Thanks for the idea too.

{Lee Ngoh goes into his office and leaves a dumbfounded secretary. He sat in his big comfortable chair and wondered why did his sister refused to go makan with him as they celebrate their "single life". Suddenly, a coin dropped out of his pocket. He picked up the coin and looks at it intensely}

Lee Ngoh: Is she really dating? Online dating? But why doesn't she tell me? She tells me everything, except certain skeletons in the closets, I think. Tell me, coin, is she hiding something from me?

{Lee Ngoh tossed the coin. As it dropped down on the table, he looked at it. Heads.}

Lee Ngoh: Why am I talking to a coin? {Saw the tonnes of files in front of his desk} Must concentrate and finish these reports.

{Lee Ngoh grabs a pen and starts reading through the reports. Only until after 5 hours, he finally finished the reports}

Lee Ngoh: Done! {Stomach groans} Hungry......and it's 3 o'clock. The canteen's close......guess I'll be going to the streets.

{Lee Ngoh tidied up his desk, off the lights and went out of his office. He saw that the secretary still working.}

Lee Ngoh: Have you had your lunch?
Secretary: No, sir. I have to finish the certificates before the kids come busting in.
Lee Ngoh: I was one of those kids in secondary school. It was hectic. Do you want anything? I'm going to the streets for lunch.
Secretary: It would be lovely if you could help me buy some egg tarts. The one from the old lady by the book shop. {Hands out RM 10 to Lee Ngoh}
Lee Ngoh: Sure. My treat. {Pushed back secretary's money}
Secretary: Thank you, sir.
Lee Ngoh: Thank you to you. You're the one helping me certifying the papers.

{Lee Ngoh walks out of office into an empty corridor. The classes were still going on. He went to peeked at his sister as he passed her classroom. She seemed focus in chemistry class. She doesn't look dreamy like she's in love. Lee Ngoh was relieved and he left the campus to find his lunch.}

{Lee Ngoh walk on the sidewalk as he browsed the shops. Many of them had started the Valentine's theme. There were hearts, pink, chocolate, couples in every corner. He couldn't felt lonely because he was still hungry. He finally found a peaceful, homey eatery. He sat by a window and ordered tea as well as fried rice. He looked through the window to see a street full of blooming flowers that are welcoming the new year. Soon, the food came and he enjoyed it. Lee Ngoh paid at the counter and left to find the old lady. After 2 blocks, he saw the old lady in front of the book store and approached her.}

Lee Ngoh: Good afternoon ma'am, I would like to buy a box of tarts, please.
Old Lady: It's RM 5. {hands him a box} It's a nice atmosphere, with all those sweet young couples.
Lee Ngoh: Yes. {Hands the old lady RM 10} Romance is in the air. Keep the change, ma'am.
Old Lady: Thank you, son. Do you have a lady?
Lee Ngoh: Unfortunately, no.
Old Lady: Then you should keep your eyes open kid.
Lee Ngoh: Hahaha....I'll try. Bye ma'am.

{Lee Ngoh hurried back to the campus because he just realized that the secretary could be really really hungry. As he passed a jewelery store, he saw someone very familiar inside. He walked closer to the display window to peek in. Yes, that was his sister asking the salesgirl something.}

Lee Ngoh: She just finished her classes for the day. Is she buying something? Mum's going to be mad. She knows that mum wants to be thrifty. What is she doing down there? Does she have a boyfriend? Wait.....I'm talking to myself again....and I shouldn't be peeking at my own sister. Maybe I'll ask her later.

{Back at the campus.}

Lee Ngoh: Here's your tarts. Sorry I'm late.
Secretary: Thank you! I'm starved. By the way, I finally finished the certs.
Lee Ngoh: Congrats!
Secretary: So, {Munching on an egg tart} you found out something about your sister? If you don't mind me asking.
Lee Ngoh: How would you know that?
Secretary: I'm just guessing. So, there is something you found out?
Lee Ngoh: She was in a jewelery store just now.
Secretary: Maybe she's buying couple rings? Or bracelet? Or necklace?
Lee Ngoh: But she doesn't have a boyfriend. There are just too many hypothesis. She could be buying something for her bunch of friends. But that's a very expensive jewelery store. She can't afford those kind of luxury without asking money from mum or dad......
Secretary: Sir, just forget about all those assumptions.
Lee Ngoh: Yeah, I should just ask her.
Secretary: I'll be going off now, goodbye sir.
Lee Ngoh: Goodbye. Take care.

{Secretary leaves the office with the box of tarts in her hands. Lee Ngoh went back to his office to finish a new report on his table. After 2 hours, he finished it. He checked all the offices to make sure all switches are off and went back home.}

{At home}

Lee Ngoh: I'm tired, wake me up when dinner's ready.
Wei Seen: Are you sure you want me to prepare dinner?
Lee Ngoh: Mum and dad aren't here?
Wei Seen: Yup. They're busy with their work and not having dinner.
Lee Ngoh: Just call deli....ver......y....{Dozed off}
Wei Seen: Alright.

{Wei Seen took out a book full of contact numbers and searched for "pizza". She ordered and watched TV after that. The pizza came 1 hour later. The delivery guy said that he was a newcomer, there was a traffic jam and he got lost when looking for their house. What a day for him! Wei Seen didn't have to pay for the pizza as it came 45 minutes late. She called up her sleeping brother.}

Wei Seen: Bro, pizza is here. I'll finish it if your not waking up.
Lee Ngoh: {Yawns} I'm up. I'm up. {Yawns and stretches}
Wei Seen: Had a good sleep?
Lee Ngoh: Nuuu....We need to change a new sofa......{Yawns}
Wei Seen: You got bad breath.
Lee Ngoh: Nonsence! Eat up, or I'll finish it first.
Wei Seen: Okay, koala brother.

{They ate their dinner without starting any conversation. After gobbling up the last crumble, Lee Ngoh decided to ask his sister about the jewelery store.}

Lee Ngoh: What were you doing at the jewelery store in the afternoon?
Wei Seen: Why do you want to know??
Lee Ngoh: I was passing the store and I saw you. Can I know? Please?
Wei Seen: I was helping mum out. I went to ask if there is any special designed ring. Mum said she's helping a guy to plan for his engagement to Hemlatha.
Lee Ngoh: Hemlatha?!?
Wei Seen: Yes. Aunt Hemlatha.
Lee Ngoh: She doesn't know, huh?
Wei Seen: Yup. Keep it a secret please.
Lee Ngoh: Okay. I thought you have a boyfriend.
Wei Seen: About that......umm......

{The front door clicks open. Shi Yee and Cheng Yi had come back from their work}

Lee Ngoh & Wei Seen: Hi mum. Hi dad.
Shi Yee: Why don't you call me first?
Lee Ngoh & Wei Seen: Don't know. We just called out.
Shi Yee: You kids.
Cheng Yi: Your childish dad.
Wei Seen: Umm......since all of you are here, I'll just say it now.
Shi Yee, Cheng Yi & Lee Ngoh: About what?
Wei Seen: I. Have. A. Boyfriend. He's going to be coming here 2 weeks after Chinese New Year.
Shi Yee, Cheng Yi & Lee Ngoh: What?!?!??!?!
Wei Seen: Hehehe......
Shi Yee: He's going to be coming here in 2 weeks?? Then, you mean he's from out of town?
Wei Seen: Why don't all of you wait and see??
Shi Yee, Cheng Yi & Lee Ngoh: Whatever......I'm going to sleep......tomorrow is a busy day.
Shi Yee, Cheng Yi & Lee Ngoh: You too??
Wei Seen: .......

{Shi Yee, Cheng Yi and Lee Ngoh went upstairs to bed and left Wei Seen standing in the kitchen.}

Wei Seen: Looks like I'll be doing the dishes tonight......Finally, I've said it out. It's so nice to have lifted the weights off my shoulders.
